Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the aInspired keyboard application ("App"), the website at ainspired.app ("Website"), and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by aInspired ("we", "us", "our").

By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What aInspired Does

aInspired is an AI-powered keyboard for Android (and soon iOS) that provides:

• Voice transcription — converts speech to text using cloud providers
• AI text correction — fixes grammar, spelling, and style using on-device and cloud LLMs
• Smart predictions — next-word suggestions powered by an on-device n-gram language model
• AI chat — conversational AI assistant accessible from the keyboard
• Meme generation — AI-generated memes from text prompts
• Custom themes — visual keyboard customization including glass effects, gradients, and images

3. Accounts

Some features require a Google Sign-In account. When you sign in, we store your email address, display name, and profile photo to identify your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under it.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

aInspired offers the following paid plans (see Pricing for current details):

• Basic — monthly or annual subscription
• Pro — monthly or annual subscription
• BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) — one-time lifetime purchase

Billing details:

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual).
• You can cancel at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal or by emailing us. Access continues until your current billing period ends.
• We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods. See our Refund Policy for details.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers keep their current price until their next renewal after the notice period.

5. Free Tier

The free tier provides limited daily access to cloud AI features (corrections, voice transcription, chat) at no cost. The free tier is ad-supported — you will see ads served by Google AdMob. With your consent, ads may be personalized based on device identifiers collected by AdMob. All on-device features (predictions, spell checking, themes) are unlimited on the free tier.

6. Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

BYOK users provide their own API keys for third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Mistral). When using BYOK:

• Your API requests go directly to the provider, not through our servers.
• You are solely responsible for any costs incurred on your provider accounts.
• You must comply with each provider's own terms of service and usage policies.
• We are not liable for any charges, rate limits, or service disruptions from your providers.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Attempt to bypass usage quotas, rate limits, or access restrictions
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Service
• Transmit malicious code, spam, or harmful content through the Service
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Use the AI features to generate content that is illegal, abusive, or violates third-party rights

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the App, Website, design, code, and all related materials, is owned by aInspired and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes (or commercial use if your subscription permits).

Content you create using the Service (text, memes, chat messages) belongs to you. We claim no ownership of your content.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Third-Party Services

aInspired integrates with third-party services including AI model providers (Groq, OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Deepgram, Fireworks), payment processors (Stripe), identity providers (Google Sign-In), and ad networks (Google AdMob). These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• AI-generated text, corrections, or transcriptions will be accurate or error-free
• The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or free of bugs
• Third-party AI providers will remain available or maintain their current pricing

You use AI-generated output at your own discretion. Always review AI suggestions before sending important messages.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, aInspired and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the App and canceling any active subscriptions.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use policy
• Your use creates a risk of harm to other users or our infrastructure
• We are required to do so by law

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, disclaimers, and governing law) will survive.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, by sending a notice through the App or to your registered email address at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
